Google API Services Disclosure
brainmate is operated by Brain M8 LLC. This page describes how brainmate uses information received from Google APIs.
Limited Use statement
brainmate's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The use of raw or derived user data received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What we access
If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic profile information (name, email address) to create and secure your account.
If you choose to connect your Google Calendar, we request read-only access to your calendar events (calendar.events.readonly). We never request write access to your calendar.
How we use it
Calendar event data is used for exactly one feature:
- showing you your own upcoming meetings inside brainmate,
- scheduling your meeting notetaker to join the meetings you have chosen, and
- detecting reschedules and cancellations so the notetaker joins at the right time, or not at all.
Calendar connection is optional and off by default. You can disconnect at any time in Settings, and we honor revocation made through your Google Account settings.
What we never do with Google user data
- We do not use it to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
- We do not transfer it to third-party AI tools, or to any third party, for the purpose of training AI or machine learning models.
- We do not use it for advertising.
- We do not sell it.
- No human reads it except with your explicit permission, where necessary for security or legal compliance, or when aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.
